Raul C. Ramirez, MD
I am an internal medicine physician and have been practicing for 15 years. In my former life, I was a Registered Nurse working in community clinics and hospice care. I have also worked as a Hospitalist which has refined my ability to treat a wide spectrum of acute, severe illnesses in hospital settings. I am able to effectively treat patients in outpatient, hospital, and post-hospital settings. I feel this breadth of experience has allowed me to better care for my patients in all facets of their healthcare journey.
I believe the practice of medicine is an art and a science. Above all, I truly believe medicine is a calling and a privilege that I do not take lightly. My philosophy of health care is best summarized by Benjamin Franklin’s quote: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” I am here to help you navigate the complexities of your healthcare with compassion while offering you the best care modern medicine has to offer.

I approach medicine with an attitude of selflessness, no judgment, and with the goal of not just listening to a patient, but also actually hearing what each has to say.”
Dr. Posey has four dogs, and when he’s not in clinic, he enjoys spending a lot of time with them, and looks forward to exploring many outdoor spots across Austin with them.
